Waste is recycled, reused, and incinerated with energy recovery by CVS Health.

The amount of waste recycled by CVS Health in the year 2019 was just 391 metric tons (8.92%), which increased to 5,631 metric tons (58.62%) in 2022 and stands at 2,005 metric tons (42.20%) in 2024. During the period from 2019 to 2024, the waste sent to landfill was nil in 2019, highest in 2021, accounting for 291 metric tons (5.16%), and now in 2024 stands at 112 metric tons (2.36%). The waste reused during the baseline year 2019 was 511 metric tons, and thereafter it ≤1 metric ton (≤0.02%).
