Seamflow, an AI-first software platform targeting the global Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry, has emerged from stealth with $4.5 million in seed funding.

The round was co-led by Northzone and Initialized Capital, with participation from Entrepreneur First, Nebular, and angel investors including Charlie Songhurst and Mario Götze.

The London-based startup aims to streamline the complex workflows that delay product certifications across critical sectors. Before products can reach markets, independent experts must conduct audits, review documentation, and issue approvals—processes that have remained fragmented and manual despite technological advances elsewhere.

Industry Challenge

The certification backlog is particularly acute in medical devices. According to the company, an estimated 25,000 devices are currently awaiting certification in the EU alone. Approval timelines for life-saving products can exceed 20 months, as limited expert capacity is consumed by administrative tasks rather than specialized judgment.

Seamflow’s AI software addresses this by automating documentation management, review coordination, and auditor scheduling. The company reports that its platform can reduce certification timelines from over 20 months to under three months for medical devices.

This efficiency drive aligns with broader regulatory trends in the life sciences sector. Drug and Device World has reported that the regulatory scrutiny of technology systems used in clinical trials is intensifying globally. The number of inspections of Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems has doubled since 2022, with health authorities now engaging directly with technology vendors as well as sponsors.

Founded by Konstantin Klingler and Yusufhan Kircova, who experienced certification constraints firsthand in regulated industries, With the new funding, Seamflow plans to expand its team, enhance product capabilities, and support a growing number of TIC organizations globally.
